RealNetwork Foundation Helps Fund a 12% Increase in Psychiatric Services

In 2015, YES expanded our mental health services for youth in East King County by increasing psychiatric
services, in direct response to parents and community members who articulated a need for greater
access to psychiatric services for children.

For young people who are struggling to manage a healthy life, YES’ psychiatric services catches them
early and gives them a chance to stabilize and learn vital coping skills through our comprehensive
mental health services. Our psychiatric services work in tandem with our behavioral health counseling and
substance abuse treatment services to provide an integrated model of healing for our young clients.

In 2019, YES received a grant of $10,000 from the RealNetworks Foundation to help support our
psychiatric services. The majority of our clients are low income families, and gifts like the one provided by
the RealNetworks Foundation allows us to provide services regardless of the ability to pay. The grant has
supported a 12% increase in psychiatric services over the past year, and we are very grateful for
the Foundation’s support.

From all of us at YES, we thank you, and others like you who continue to help strengthen our youth and community,
and enable YES to extend services to those who couldn’t otherwise afford them.
