When you call

When you call YES, an intake coordinator will ask why you’re interested in meeting with a therapist, plus get some information on your financial situation. Then, they’ll schedule your first appointment. YES has offices in Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond; we also have on-site therapists at some schools in the Bellevue and Lake Washington school districts.

Your first appointment

Please arrive on time and bring:

  • Your insurance card or medical coupon
  • A photo ID
  • A pay stub or other proof of income if you’re applying for reduced fees
  • Referral paperwork from a school, your physician or law enforcement (if applicable)

During your first appointment, the therapist will focus solely on learning more about your situation.

Ongoing appointments

After your first appointment, you’ll be matched with a therapist who is best able to meet your needs and with whom you’ll have recurring appointments. The therapist will develop an individualized care plan for you that’s designed to offer support, recovery, hope and resilience.

Cancelling appointments

Appointments can be canceled or rescheduled with 24 hours’ notice. There is a $20 fee for missed appointments and those canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice. Insurance does not pay for cancellation fees.

Paying for services

You can get help at YES no matter what your financial situation is. We have a sliding scale for our services that goes all the way down to zero, and we never turn away families because they can’t pay. We accept Medicaid, medical coupons and most insurance plans.
