Our approach

Expert youth and family care focused on long-term health

YES’ care focuses not just on helping clients now, but also empowering them with skills that will help them overcome obstacles and tackle challenges throughout the rest of their lives. Our focus on the future starts in the very beginning — by conducting a thorough assessment and crafting an individualized treatment plan based on best practices.

Comprehensive assessment

Your first appointment is where we learn more about your situation by conducting a thorough assessment. We carefully explore our client’s issues, relationships and lifestyle by using a combination of a standardized Global Appraisal of Individual Needs (GAIN) and personal interviewing.

Individualized treatment plans

We don’t have a one-size-fits-all model at YES. After your comprehensive assessment, your therapist will develop a personalized treatment plan that helps you achieve the outcomes you want. We work with clients to meet them where they are, and to help them discover and articulate what they want to get out of therapy.

Evidence-Based Practices

In all of our treatment and prevention programs, we use current evidence-based practices such as:

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
  • Mindfulness
  • 7 Challenges
  • Botvin LifeSkills
  • Promoting First Relationships (PFR)

These research-backed therapy models integrate client values, clinical expertise and the best available research to help clients recover faster and maintain overall well-being.

360-degree care

We explore all aspects of a client’s life, including their parent or guardian relationships, peer relationships, school life and more to ensure that we’re looking at the client’s situation from a 360-degree perspective. We also engage caring adults in treatment and for support as needed to ensure clients have a support network to facilitate their recovery.

Psychiatric support

Our on-site psychiatric staff work continuously and collaboratively with our clinical staff to assess the need for medication support as part of clients’ treatment plans.
