ABOUT THE EVENT: YES’ Invest in Youth Breakfast brings together 1,200+ community supporters, civic and business leaders with a passion for helping young people and their families. The Breakfast will feature enlightening and moving stories from YES youth clients, along with celebrated keynote speaker and suicide prevention advocate, Kevin Hines. With your help, we intend to raise $800,000 to ensure that everyone in need can receive mental health and substance use counseling and treatment, regardless of their ability to pay.
Kevin Hines is an award-winning global speaker, best-selling author, documentary filmmaker, and suicide prevention and mental health advocate who has reached millions with his story of an unlikely survival and his strong will to live. Two years after he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, he attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Kevin now travels the world sharing his story of hope, healing, and recovery while teaching people of all ages the art of wellness and the ability to survive pain with true resilience.
In 2018, Kevin released his documentary “Suicide: The Ripple Effect,” which chronicles his personal journey and the ripple effect it has on those who have been impacted by his suicide attempt and his life’s work since. View the trailer below.
While there is no cost to attend the breakfast, there will be an opportunity to donate during the event. The suggested minimum donation is $200 per person.
