Violence Prevention
 We want to prevent problems, not just treat them. YES works closely with schools, community centers and other agencies and programs to address the root causes of youth problems in our community and to stop them before they occur. Among our efforts are:
- Crisis intervention and conflict resolution, including efforts to address the problems of gang involvement and violence on the Eastside.
- Teen dating violence prevention and RESPECT (Relationship Equality and Safety: Peers Educating Community Teens). These programs support teens as they talk to each other about recognizing, preventing and resolving violence in dating relationships.
- Training for teachers, medical personnel, law enforcement and community members to help them identify danger signs and respond to youth violence.
